is important to note that there are no established weight standards for teacup and tiny
toy Maltipoos. Therefore, the definition of these size will vary among Maltipoo breeders.
Teacup Maltipoos:
Teacup maltipoos weigh under 4 lbs full grown. Depending on the size of the teacup, teacup
Maltipoos cannot go to their new home until they are 10-12 weeks old.We keep these little
ones longer in order to ensure they are healthy and that they are truly tiny. Teacup Maltipoos
are particularly well suited as a traveling companion. However because of their tiny size, they are
not ideal for families with young children.
Tiny Toy Maltipoos:
Tiny Toy Maltipoos weigh between 4-6 lbs full grown. Tiny Toy Maltipoos can usually go
to their new homes at 8-10 weeks of age. Tiny toys are also a good size for traveling
and apartment life.
Toy Maltipoos:
Toy maltipoos weigh between 6-10 lbs full grown. Toy maltipoos can usually go to their new hoes at 8 weeks
of age. The toy size is a much better choice for families with small children.
Maltipoos are considered non-shedding and hypoallergenic
And tend to be good choices for individuals with allergies. However, this does not mean that the dog will not cause a person to have an allergic reaction. Each person is different in how much dog dander
they can tolerate. I would recommend testing the allergic family member around a Poodle,
Maltese, or Maltipoo before adopting. Keeping a clean pet area does help with dog dander,
along with air purifiers and a good vacuum cleaner with an air filter. Purchasing a puppy is not a decision to
